Open Your Home. Share Your Life. Become a Life sharing Provider.
UCP Central PA is seeking caring individuals and families who want to make a lasting difference by welcoming an adult with an intellectual disability into their home. Life sharing isn’t just a program—it’s an opportunity to share your household, your routines, and your family life with someone who will become part of it.
As a Life sharing Provider, you are not only supporting someone’s daily needs—you are inviting them into your home as a valued family member. You will:
- Provide day-to-day care, including assistance with personal needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting if needed.
- Support and encourage participation in family activities, hobbies, and community outings.
- Facilitate medical appointments, prepare nutritious meals, and assist with feeding (if necessary).
- Maintain supervision, complete required documentation, and follow state regulations.
This is a unique, rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful relationship while making your home a safe and supportive place for someone to grow and thrive.
As an independently contracted Life sharing provider, you must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualified candidates for these independent contractor opportunities must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
- Hold valid vehicle insurance and homeowners/rental insurance
- Pass a background check
Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or autism is preferred, but NOT required.
