Currently we are looking for a Network Engineer to join our group. The Network Engineer will monitor and secure the DoD networks, fixes outages, enforces security standards, and supports both classified and unclassified environments — including routers, switches and encryption devices.
ROLE- Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues.
- Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate.
- Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures.
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by management.
- Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Currently possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance and CompTIA Security
- Active CCNA Certification or CCNP
- Expert knowledge with LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.
- Expert knowledge with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.
- Expert knowledge with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified and Classified
- Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence.
Salary range: $85,000 – $145,000 per year.
Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and other qualifying factors.
