Laichwiltach Family Life Society has an opening for a Family Support Worker in the Campbell River area.

• Family Support Certificate, Human Service Diploma/Certificate or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in social services or family support area
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Child, Youth and Family Services Act).
• Understanding of trauma-informed care, mental health, and addiction issues.

• Experience and knowledge in working as a Family Support Worker is an asset
• Experience in working with children & youth and families.
• Experience in doing outreach support, goal setting with families and individuals
• Able to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Maintains professional standards of practice
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing and documentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Cultural Sensitivity to children & youth family’s needs
• Valid driver’s license & own vehicle

$30 per hour
