Staff Accountant

TOGO'S is one of the West Coast's most iconic sandwich brands with over 40 years of history and 140 locations across California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. Known for big, made-to-order sandwiches and a loyal guest following, TOGO'S operates as a franchise system with both company-owned and franchised locations. Our support center team in Campbell, CA, is the backbone of the brand, working closely with franchisees, Operations, and leadership to keep the business running well.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our lean Finance team at our Campbell, CA support center. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting to the Controller. You will work closely with the Controller and CFO, touch real accounting work from day one, and gain direct exposure to how a multi-unit franchise system operates financially. General Ledger and Close Support

• Book daily bank deposits for company-owned and franchised locations
• Reconcile credit card accounts and online ordering receivables (OLO, Door Dash, Uber Eats, EzCater)
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries and accruals
• Support month-end close and general ledger reconciliations
• Distribute monthly general ledger summaries to Operations and Marketing

Franchisee and Royalty Reporting

• Prepare the weekly royalty report and distribute to stakeholders
• Prepare the bounced EFT report and coordinate franchisee follow-up on failed payments
• Correspond with franchisees to collect current insurance certificates
• Scan, verify, and enter certificates into Net Suite
• Prepare monthly grand opening and inventory balance reports

Data and Analysis

• Prepare weekly cash deposits report
• Support ad hoc Excel-based financial analysis as directed by the Controller and CFO

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred; restaurant, retail, or multi-unit environment a plus
• Net Suite ERP experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Toast POS and Data Central a plus
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage recurring deadlines independently
• Clear communicator - you will interact with franchisees and vendors regularly
• Takes ownership and does not wait to be told what needs to be done
