Job Description

Canyon Heights Academy, located in Campbell, CA, seeks an Extended Daycare Teacher for our students in grades 1st thru 8th.

• Minimum age of 18
• Prior experience working with children in an organized program
• Must have knowledge of children’s developmental stages and activities that are appropriate for each grade level
• Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children and the program.
• Has the ability to interact well with others in a professional environment

• Implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate enrichment activities which expand and support student learning experiences beyond the classroom
• Supervising children’s play activities
• Building positive relationships with parents, students, and school personnel
• Overseeing homework time and guiding children as necessary
• Demonstrating cooperation, flexibility, and teamwork
• Maintaining a safe, conducive environment for children inside and outside
• Documenting incidents of injury, health, or behavior issues
• Keeping materials inventoried, organized and put away when finished
• Performing assigned housekeeping duties daily
• Preparing snacks
• Implementing program procedures effectively to ensure the safe being of all participants
• Enjoying being with students and foster their spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development through the duties outlined above

Hourly rate: $30.00
