Role Description The Yard Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Campbell, CA. This role oversees daily yard operations, including organizing equipment, coordinating loading and unloading, and ensuring safe and efficient movement of rental items. The Yard Supervisor leads and schedules yard staff, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment for damage, assisting with basic maintenance checks, operating forklifts and other yard equipment, and supporting customers and drivers with pickups and returns.
The Yard Supervisor also communicates with counter staff and management to prioritize equipment readiness and support overall customer service.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills to lead yard staff, manage schedules, and oversee day-to-day operations.
- Experience with Yard Management, including organizing equipment, maintaining yard safety, and coordinating logistics.
- Knowledge of Heavy Equipment, including safe handling, basic inspection, and familiarity with rental tools and machinery.
- Proficient Forklift Operation and safe use of related material-handling equipment.
- Effective Communication skills for working with team members, drivers, and customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail for equipment checks and safety inspections.
- Prior experience in equipment rental, construction, or related industries is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is beneficial.
