DutiesRole Overview:
You will support the Lead Teacher in daily operations, ensuring every child receives individual attention and care in a high-standards environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Support:
Assist in the execution of lesson plans and small-group activities. - Supervision & Safety:
Ensure the constant supervision of children, maintaining strict adherence to Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) licensing rules. - Environment Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitized, and inviting classroom that meets SUTQ environmental rating scales. - Daily Care:
Provide attentive care for children’s physical needs, including meal times, transitions, and hygiene. - Collaboration:
Work closely with the Lead Teacher to document observations and support classroom goals.
To help us reach our Gold rating goals, we are looking for candidates who meet the following:
- Education (Lead): CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) is highly preferred.
- Education (Assistant):
High School Diploma/GED required; current enrollment in a CDA program or ECE coursework is a plus. - OCCRRA Profile:
Must have (or be willing to create) an active Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA) profile. - Background Check:
Ability to pass a BCI and FBI criminal background check as required by Ohio law. - Experience:
Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred; knowledge of SUTQ standards is a significant advantage. - Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and interact with children at their eye level (sitting, kneeling, or standing). - Life Insurance
