Part-time position with varied shifts

Weekend Rotations Required

• Operates the hospital telephone switchboard and routes incoming calls to the appropriate department, office, or individual.
• Provides information and assistance to patients, visitors, and callers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Processes payments and performs cashiering functions, including accepting cash, checks, credit cards, and other approved forms of payment.
• Provides receipts and maintains accurate records of all transactions.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and hospital information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Assists with paging and communication systems in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining and recording entries regarding property taxes allowances
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• on the job training essential for PBX
• Job Demands------
• Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
• occasionally lift and carry light office supplies and materials.
• Basic computer skills required
