Job Description

The Campbellsville Christian Church is a growing, Christ-centered community of faith seeking to hire a gifted and called minister to lead, disciple, and invest in a healthy/ growing Children’s and Family Ministry.

This ministry position would focus primarily on leading and serving children (birth – 5th grade) and their families. We’re looking for a Godly individual who is personable, fun/energetic and loves connecting with children/parents.

The ideal candidate is willing to invest/build a quality group of adult volunteers and ultimately desires to make disciples of the children/families of CCC and in our community.

  • Children’s and Family Ministry (Love what you do!)
    • Provide oversight and innovation to a healthy/growing Children’s and Family Ministry with specific oversight to ages birth-5th grade and their families.
    • Give leadership & team development for volunteers thru ongoing recruitment & training.
    • Supply curriculum direction, training and lesson planning for all levels of ministry focus.
    • Provide teaching, coaching and mentoring for both children, parents and volunteers.
    • Coordinate weekly activities, spiritual growth opportunities & outreach in the community.
    • Maintain a close connection with parents/families thru media & communication platforms.
    • Help promote/plan/participate in camps, conferences, & events for children and families.
  • Pastoral (Love the people you serve!)
    • Develop deep relationships with children/families thru presence in the church/community.
    • Be available for prayer and wise counsel for children/parents upon request.
    • Provide shepherding and pastoral care to babies, children and their families via home/school/hospital visits when appropriate.
    • Be available to supply preach and/or teach periodically if applicable.
    • Represent CCC as a minister in the community & as needed for weddings/funerals/etc.
    • Responsible to Senior Minister/Elders and supervisor for all Ministry area volunteers.
  • Leadership (Love the team you serve with!)
    • Plan, build and lead scheduled Children’s and Family Ministry team meetings and training.
    • Continue to communicate and integrate the Mission, Vision, Values of CCC within the Children’s and Family Ministry strategy & discipleship process.
    • Stay current with ministry trends via books/podcasts/seminars and conferences.
    • Provide regular ministry evaluations thru Vital Growth Markers and make strategic adjustments within discipleship systems, processes and programs as needed.
  • Administrative (Love the Church!)
    • Fully participate in all staff, leadership, and team meetings.
    • Help care for and maintain ministry facilities/equipment/materials/environments.
    • Provide budget oversight in ministry focus areas including any purchases/invoices.
    • Maintain current and consistent Children’s and Family Ministry Policies as well as any security protocols or guidelines.
    • Coordinate with the church staff any events, activities, or facilities/vehicle usage, etc.
    • Communicate and maintain consistent but flexible work hours both in & out of the office.
    • All salary positions are expected to work at least 40 hours per week with obvious flexibility due to various evening or weekend activities and/or events.
Benefits

While individuals who have graduated with a ministry degree from a Bible college and who have previous ministry experience are preferred, all ministry candidates will be prayerfully considered. Our compensation package includes both salary plus benefits. The estimated salary range is $48,000-$53,000 (Commensurate with applicant’s experience/ability) and benefits est. $8,000-$10,000.

About Us

Our church is centrally located near the business district of downtown Campbellsville with a weekly attendance of around 190. Located in South-Central Kentucky, we are considered a college-town community of around 12,000 people in the city and about 27,000 in Taylor County. We exist to lead people to Jesus and into a growing relationship with Him.
