CFO, Financial Manager
Taylor Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. A mission‑driven healthcare organization dedicated to improving the health and well‑being of our community, we are looking for a financial leader who can help guide the organization through continued growth, operational excellence, and long‑term financial sustainability.
The CFO serves as a key strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Trustees, providing leadership and oversight for all financial operations of the hospital. This executive‑level position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial strength, integrity, and success of the organization while supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with the hospital's mission, vision, values, and long‑term objectives.
- Direct all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, and cash flow oversight.
- Lead revenue cycle operations to optimize billing, collections, reimbursement, payer contracting, and overall financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, accounting standards, reimbursement requirements, and healthcare finance best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain sound financial policies, internal controls, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support strategic decision‑making related to service lines, capital investments, operational improvements, and organizational growth.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and department directors to monitor financial performance, manage expenses, and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, and Board of Trustees.
- Oversee annual audits, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support strategic initiatives including organizational expansion, partnerships, grants, capital projects, and transformation efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance department team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7‑10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, revenue cycle operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial analysis, operational improvement, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
