Materials Management Manager
Location:
On-site at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky

Taylor Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Materials Management Manager to lead our supply chain operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our clinicians and departments have the necessary supplies, equipment, and materials available to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining cost-effective inventory levels and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee purchasing, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Ensure medical, surgical, and facility supplies are available while minimizing waste and controlling costs
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and evaluate supplier performance
- Collaborate with department leaders to forecast supply needs and improve operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies
- Analyze purchasing and inventory data to improve performance and support strategic initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Manage departmental budget while identifying cost‑saving opportunities
- bachelor's in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Major in supply chain management preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory control, or healthcare supply chain operations.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25–50 pounds occasionally.
- Maintain accurate and concise documentation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods as needed.
