Maintenance Mechanic II – Plant Operations

Join Taylor Regional Hospital as a Maintenance Mechanic II. In this part‑time, day shift role on site, you will perform routine and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities, troubleshoot and repair equipment and building systems, respond promptly to maintenance requests, maintain compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations, and collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed.

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hospital facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and building systems to ensure proper operation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair needs.
• Communicate effectively with other team members.
• Follow HIPAA compliance and assist with compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with room setups, equipment moves, and minor construction or renovation projects as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training or vocational certification in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or a related field preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Able to lift, push, and pull over 50 lbs.
• Availability for weekends and on‑call duties as may be required.
