Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring safety and optimal performance. Candidates with dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred.

The position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of tools and systems in a dynamic environment.

Duties
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, electrical system troubleshooting, and system replacements.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize welding skills for repair or fabrication projects as needed.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist in the assembly of mechanical components or systems during repairs or upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each service job.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and answering questions professionally.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic; dealership experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery such as Caterpillar or farm equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems, HVAC, electrical wiring, schematics reading, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Experience with industrial equipment operation and assembly processes is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers when necessary.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
