A-Line Staffing is now hiring an Operator 1, Machine in Canaan, CT. Assignment Details
Assignment Dates: 02/15/2026 – 08/30/2026
Assignment Type: Temp to perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent based on business needs)
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: Rotating schedule every two weeks
Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, SundayWeek 2:
Wednesday, Friday
Overtime: May be required based on business needs
Drug Screen: Not required
Background Check: Required and must be cleared prior to start
$20.00 per hour
The Operator 1, Machine is responsible for performing routine manufacturing and production functions in a regulated environment. This role supports production operations through filling, packing, assembling, labeling, inspection, and utility activities while maintaining strict compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. The position works under direct supervision and follows established standard operating procedures.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform routine production tasks including filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspection
Operate machinery and production equipment under general supervision
Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation in compliance with FDA, GMP, and ISO 9000 standards
Conduct in-process quality checks and complete all required quality documentation accurately
Support product requalification and rework activities as needed
Assist with product and equipment changeovers
Support line technicians with equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including machinery, floors, and workstations
Perform quality inspections, process tests, and accurately record data
Enter and maintain production data for PPH, scrap/waste, SAP, and MES systems
Identify and report production or quality issues to the Cell Lead
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizens, Blitzes, and KAS activities
Communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure smooth transitions
Support business needs through flexibility with overtime and extended hours as required
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED preferred
; prior industrial or manufacturing experience preferred and mandatory for considerationMinimum experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English (mandatory)
Ability to read and interpret specifications and documentation written in English
Basic math skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and routine practices
Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
Ability to work in a team-based environment and support team goals
Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed
Ability to work flexible schedules, rotating shifts, and extended hours
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Background check clearance required prior to start
