Job Description
HOURS:
7PM - 7AM
- Completes First Piece inspections and is responsible for order reviews and monitoring compliance to procedures and standards established for quality documentation.
- Completes requalification of product including documentation.
- Focuses on QDN reduction by reviewing PCF documentation during each shift to catch errors that can be corrected on the spot, and associates can be trained to the error and corrective actions. Proper paperwork daily reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely SAP & MES transactions by monitoring inventories and addressing discrepancies identified.
- Acts as the Shift Lead back‑up as needed and assists supervision with timely updates on production output and any issues that may hinder achieving production targets. As needed, provides direction and communicate priorities to operators/technicians to meet established targets.
- Ensure associates are trained in a consistent manner to comply with all safety, quality and operational procedures, focusing on proper quality system inspections, documentation, and practices.
- Supports associate training in the event of an absence or shortage of qualified trainers in an assigned manufacturing area.
- Runs molding presses and supports co‑workers in achieving safety, quality, housekeeping, and output objectives as needed.
- Performs housekeeping as necessary to sustain 5S standards.
- Supports and participates in Tiered Management System updates & metric tracking, activities as required.
- Back‑up for Shift Production Lead, including shift planning and coordinating when needed.
- Supports assigned molding areas, which may change based on production demands.
- When necessary, substitute for associates to provide coverage for meetings, unplanned absence, etc.
- Verifies that equipment & surrounding areas are clean during the shift.
- Performs other duties as the business requires.
- H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. (required) (if hired after 6/1/00) Internal transfers exempted
- Vocational/Technical School (preferred)
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Other:
First Piece Inspection familiar with Vision System/CMM measurements (preferred). Experience with Canaan/BD quality system and related documentation (preferred)
