The Lac La Ronge Indian Band is now inviting applications for the following Full-Time position based out of the LLRIB Band Office, in La Ronge, SK:

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

  • Coordinate the scheduling of Internal Council meetings, ensuring quorum and availability of members.
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain agendas, meeting packages, and background documents in advance of meetings.
  • Attend Internal Council meetings to take accurate and confidential minutes.
  • Finalize and distribute approved minutes and follow up on action items as directed.
  • Maintain records of all Internal Council and Elders correspondence and decisions in an organized filing system.
  • Manage calendar and schedule appointments for the COO, prioritizing urgent and strategic meetings.
  • Screen incoming correspondence, flagging items for COO follow-up as required.
  • Provide confidential administrative support to sensitive organizational matters.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the COO, Internal Council members and Elders; including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and per diem tracking.
  • Prepare travel authorizations and reconcile travel claims in accordance with LLRIB travel policies.
  • Provide logistical support for off-site meetings, conferences, or events involving the COO or Internal Council and Elders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Support the coordination of internal events, workshops, or gatherings as requested.
  • Maintain contact lists and ensure accurate records of stakeholders and key partners.
  • The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an executive or administrative assistant role.
  • Experience working with Indigenous governance structures or in a First Nation organization is a strong asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Teams).
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take accurate, concise meeting minutes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours occasionally to accommodate travel or meeting schedules
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred;
  • Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
