Overview
This role provides administrative support to a department or individual and typically aligns with a senior Administrative Assistant position. The role involves managing daily administrative tasks, supporting special projects, and assisting in coordinating office operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information. The individual may also mentor or train other office staff and lead administrative initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support, including typing, filing, and record keeping
Answer phone calls and manage correspondence
Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and coordinate meetings and conferences
Order and manage office supplies
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Support special projects involving recording, compiling, retrieving, reporting, and analyzing information
Multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Identify issues or problems and escalate or assist in resolving them as needed
Lead administrative projects and support team initiatives
Train and mentor junior office staff
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email systems
Excellent organizational and administrative coordination skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Customer service experience preferred
