Embark on a vital clerical role as a Provincial Offences Clerk at Hastings County Administration Building. This temporary, full-time position supports court processes and requires expertise in the Provincial Offences Act.

The County of Hastings is hiring a temporary full-time Provincial Offences Clerk for up to 18 months. You will provide clerical support, pre-court preparation, and in-court assistance, using the ICON mainframe for all charge processing. Ideal candidates will have two years of court experience and a Post-Secondary Diploma in relevant fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clerical support to the Provincial Offences office

• Process and balance daily revenue from transactions

• Intake charges using the Provincial ICON system

• Act as court monitor and operate recording equipment

• Ensure proper courtroom protocol during proceedings

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Court Support Services

• Two years of experience in a court environment

• Knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
