Front Desk Receptionist in Hope

Cedar Strong Prevention & Intervention Society is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for its new shelter in Hope, BC. This full-time role emphasizes customer service, organization, and compassion.

This unionized position requires an organized and welcoming individual to provide essential administrative support. You will interact with residents and visitors, respond to inquiries, and maintain a professional front-desk environment. As the first point of contact, your role is vital in creating a safe and respectful space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet residents, visitors, and service providers at the reception desk

• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person

• Monitor the reception and lobby areas for safety

• Maintain communication logs and filing systems

• Support staff with administrative tasks and document management

Requirements:

• High school diploma (Grade 12)

• Six months of reception or customer service experience

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices is an asset

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
