Registration Clerk Position at Portage Health Centre

Location: South Interlake (MacGregor)

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a Health Information Registration Clerk for Portage Regional Health Centre. This in-person role emphasizes precise data collection and outstanding customer service.

In this temporary position, you will report directly to the Registration Services Coordinator. Your duties include ensuring the accurate collection of patient data during the registration process. You are expected to communicate effectively and professionally while maintaining confidentiality and supporting the goals of Health Information Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and concise patient registration

• Provide exceptional customer service in reception duties

• Maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions

• Communicate effectively with clients and staff

• Manage work priorities with independent judgment

Requirements:

• Recent experience in a patient care area preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act

• Accurate typing skills of 40 wpm

• Good work and attendance record
