Position: Onsite Clerk at Providence Health Care

Enhance patient services as an Onsite Clerk at Providence Health Care's St Mary's Hospital in Sechelt. This casual role focuses on record processing, patient registration, and switchboard operations.

You will be responsible for essential duties including patient registration, record assembly, and switchboard communication. Reporting to the Coordinator, you should possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and effective communication skills.

Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of patient information and ensuring compliance with health records standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute record processing tasks including validations and corrections

• Register patients and manage admission transitions

• Operate the computerized switchboard and respond to inquiries

• Maintain the record completion system effectively

• Liaise with healthcare professionals for document resolution

Requirements:

• Grade 12 plus related experience or equivalent education

• Ability to type 45 wpm and use office equipment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good understanding of medical information systems

• Capable of performing clerical duties physically
