Join IDM Youth Services as an Emergency Residential Child and Youth Worker on Vancouver Island. Help children and youth navigate critical situations in a supportive setting.

IDM Youth Services seeks Full-Time and Part-Time Residential Child and Youth Workers to work in Emergency Care homes. In this impactful role, you'll assist ages 0-19 who are in urgent need of a secure environment. Weekend availability is important for fulfilling this essential service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate care for children and youth in crisis

• Collaborate with care teams to create and implement plans

• Administer medication and maintain accurate records

• Employ trauma-informed practices in all interactions

• Support families throughout the care process

Requirements:

• Diploma in a related field plus two years of experience

• Must be at least 19 years old

• Required Class 7N Driver's license

• Pass screenings through MCFD and Ministry of Justice

• Experience with at-risk youth preferred
