SȽEȽEMW̱ Child Development Center Assistant

Enhance children's lives as an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) at SȽEȽEMW̱ Child Development Center, located in WSÁNEĆ traditional territory near Victoria, B.C. This role focuses on providing quality care and support for infants to children aged 5.

Working under the direction of the Program Coordinator, you will assist in program planning and delivery while ensuring compliance with Child Care Licensing Regulations. You will contribute to creating a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment for children throughout their daily activities. This important role requires a commitment to early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in program planning for various age groups

• Ensure safety, health, and nutrition during activities

• Work closely with the Program Coordinator for guidance

• Follow all Child Care Licensing and WSB policies

• Engage with children to promote positive experiences

Requirements:

• Must have an EC Assistant Certificate

• One year of related experience preferred

• Valid Child First Aid and CPR certifications required

• Criminal Record Check and BC Class 5 Driver’s License necessary

• Preference for candidates of First Nations Ancestry
