Position: Childcare Worker for After School Program
Location: Central Saanich

Embrace the opportunity to work as a Childcare Worker with Beacon Community Services in Brentwood Bay. Provide engaging activities for kids ages 5-12 in after-school care.

In this important role, you'll be part of a dedicated team under the guidance of the Childcare Manager. Your responsibilities will include creating fun, developmentally appropriate programs and ensuring an inclusive environment that respects cultural differences. Enjoy working collaboratively with staff to foster a nurturing atmosphere for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging and developmental activities for all ages

• Supervise children and maintain a nurturing environment

• Document daily attendance and changes communicated by parents

• Offer nutritious snacks adhering to Food Safe standards

• Engage in monthly planning and development meetings

Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 19 years old

• Food Safe and First Aid certifications required

• Completion of 20 hours in childcare education

• Experience with Out of School Care is beneficial

• Provide three positive references
