At Compass ELC, you will work as a Nutrition Specialist alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators in the industry. You will spend your time planning, prepping, and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, following the Canada Food Guide, the Ministry of Education, and Compass Early Learning and Care policies and guidelines. You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness.

Hours will be based on program needs and funding. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday; hours may vary between 7 am and 6 pm.

• Planning, prepping, and cooking nutritious and delicious meals and snacks.
• Collaborating with a dedicated and passionate team of nutrition specialists.
• Preparing menus and food with consideration to children’s food allergies and sensitivities
• Drafting and preparing seasonal menus in consideration of the Canada Food Guide, Ministry of Education, and Compass ELC policies and guidelines.
• Building and maintaining relationships with families and including them in the learning process.
• Building and maintaining relationships with staff, volunteers, students, and community partners.
