Qualifications:

• Early Childhood Education Level II (Certificate); or equivalent post-secondary training;
• Ability to speak/understand First Nations Language and/or knowledge of Culture is an asset;
• Willing to continue self-improvement/education.

• Plans, organizes and leads daily activities designed to stimulate intellectual, spiritual, physical and emotional growth of children.
• Prepare the environment for children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children using age appropriate materials.
• Provide multicultural materials and equipment for children of all ages. Maintains constant supervision of indoor and outdoor play periods.
• Cooks meals and snacks when the duty is assigned.
• Cleans and sanitizes the facility according to the weekly schedule. Maintain a clean, attractive, safe environment that facilitates optimal growth and development of children and good working conditions for all workers.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Valid Standard First Aid/CPR, WHMIS and Food Safety Handlers Certificate or willing to be certified;
• Criminal Record and vulnerable sector check
