Position: CBC Yukon Multiplatform Producer Role
Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Lead compelling local storytelling as a Multiplatform Producer with CBC Yukon. This on-site, permanent role allows you to shape narratives across multiple media platforms.

Located in Whitehorse, this role requires a journalist with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including three in broadcasting. You will handle various responsibilities that include managing audio shows, editing segments, and coordinating with reporters throughout Canada. You’ll also facilitate daily team meetings, collaborate on editorial decisions, and engage with community voices to enrich content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and oversee audio-radio shows daily

• Edit and assign segments for broadcasts

• Facilitate daily meetings and develop story approaches

• Execute scriptwriting and editorial reviews

• Build a database of community story ideas

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a related industry

• Understanding of Yukon’s diverse culture and politics

• Experience in team leadership within a production setting

• Proficient in audio editing software
