Position: Full-Time News Reporter at Moose FM
Location: Peterborough County and North Hastings County (Lakefield)

Become a vital voice in Bancroft and Barry’s Bay with Vista Radio Ltd as a full-time News Reporter. This role involves writing, recording, and sharing local stories that matter to the community.

In this collaborative newsroom position, you will research, write, and present news for My Bancroft Now  and  As a member of our Moose FM team, you will enhance your journalism skills while actively engaging with the community. Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills and a passion for storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and record local news stories for broadcasts

• Craft engaging on-air newscasts for the community

• Research newsworthy events and issues

• Update and contribute to digital platforms

• Participate in community engagement efforts

Requirements:

• Experience in a newsroom or related journalism background

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Valid driver’s license for community engagement

• On-air delivery skills with a willingness to improve

• Familiarity with Adobe Audition and newsroom software
