Position: Athletics Photographer (Hiring Year Round)
Location: Central Foothills (Sundre)

Position Summary
The Athletics department is hiring multiple positions with start dates throughout the year. Hours will be variable and dependent upon athletic game schedules. This posting will remain open until the end of  April 1, 2027  and review of applicants will be ongoing.
The Athletics Photographer is responsible to capture game moments and action shots of the athletes and the environment at specified points during the season. The incumbent is also tasked with photographing the head shots for the athletes at the beginning of the season and during Athletic Recognition events.
Position Responsibilities
Capturing the Photos   Takes photos during athletic events of the athletes and environment (i.e., crowd, group photos) based on a specific shot list provided by the supervisor.
Takes head shots of the athletes and coaches annually.
Takes team pictures for each respective team annually.
Identification and Editing of Quality Photos   Ensures the best photos are chosen from each event and fulfills the required photos from the shot list.
Ensures the final product is edited to meet the standard of excellence that is expected.
Uploading photos to the RDP website and sending photos to media   Identifies which photos are uploaded to the RDP Athletics website.
Ensures that athletic photos are sent to the media outlets to meet their deadlines.

Required Qualifications   High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications   Experience in taking indoor and outdoor action photography with differing sports.
The ability to edit, process and load photos onto web-based libraries (e.g. , Flicker).
Salary or Hourly?  Salary or Hourly? Hourly
Salary $22.18 per hour. The hourly wage includes event time and up to two additional hours per week for editing. Any additional editing hours must be pre-approved in writing by the Events and Community Engagement Coordinator.
Benefits and Compensation Information  In additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
