Corporate Finance Officer - Banff

Lead financial initiatives in a stunning national park setting as a Corporate Finance Officer for the Town of Banff. This full-time position focuses on advanced budgeting, financial reporting, and enhancing organizational financial literacy.

In this senior finance role, reporting to the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for managing intricate financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining public trust through transparency. Your expertise will support the municipality's financial planning activities and relationship-building across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute budget forecasting and long-term financial planning

• Present fiscal strategies for approval by senior leadership

• Conduct fixed asset accounting and reporting tasks

• Facilitate year-end financial statement preparations

• Develop and manage essential external reporting

Requirements:

• Degree in finance, accounting, or commerce is mandatory

• Must hold a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)

• Seven years of senior financial experience required

• Knowledge of municipal financial regulations preferred

• Experience with various financial systems a plus
