Position: Strategic Director of Finance Role

Step into the pivotal role of Director of Finance at Gambler First Nation, where you’ll enhance financial strategies and community services. This leadership position emphasizes fiscal responsibility and strong governance.

As a key advisor to Chief and Council, you will ensure all financial operations align with community expectations and regulatory frameworks. This role enhances the financial systems and fosters a community-focused culture while managing risks and complying with financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic financial planning and management

• Execute comprehensive budgeting and reporting

• Establish financial objectives aligned with community needs

• Assess financial risks and implement controls

• Facilitate the year-end audit process

Requirements:

• Degree in finance or accounting with senior experience

• CPA or CAFM preferred

• Familiarity with Indigenous governance and finance

• Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
