The Town of Morinville is seeking a permanent full-time Utility and Tax Clerk to enhance the Financial Services Team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be part of a collaborative environment, ensuring the smooth operation of utility fees and property tax assessments. Required skills focus on accounting principles and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and resolve meter reading activities

• Create and maintain utility accounts diligently

• Verify and process monthly utility billing

• Reconcile utility charges and investigate issues

• Issue utility bills through mail and electronic systems

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting

• Minimum two years of finance-related experience

• Skilled in Microsoft Office; experience with Great Plains is advantageous

• Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Sound judgment for practical decision-making
