Shape the financial direction as a Finance Manager with the Manitoulin-Sudbury District School Board in Espanola, Ontario. Oversee payroll, financial reporting, and budget coordination to support organizational success.

In this key permanent full-time position, the Finance Manager works under the Director of Finance and Administration, guiding financial operations and assistant supervision. This role requires a grasp of municipal financial responsibilities, a university degree in finance-related fields, and a proven ability to lead and communicate effectively. Analytical skills will facilitate problem-solving for complex financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll processes and approve transactions

• Ensure accuracy in purchase order tracking

• Act as liaison between finance team and Director

• Design and implement effective financial policies

• Coordinate annual budget preparation for the Board

Requirements:

• Business Administration or Accounting degree

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including management

• Knowledge of municipal finance and regulatory guidelines

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Valid Ontario Class 'G' driver’s license
