Lands and Resources Finance Officer

Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Take on the role of Finance and Administration Officer in the Lands and Resources Department, emphasizing financial tracking and administrative compliance. Facilitate smooth financial operations and program management according to funding priorities.

Working under the Director of Lands and Resources, this permanent role focuses on supporting financial processes including expenditure tracking and agreement management. A diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, coupled with relevant experience, is preferred. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track expenditures and assist in financial reporting

• Manage procurement and agreement processes

• Ensure compliance with organizational funding requirements

• Collaborate with departmental programs for smooth operations

• Maintain confidentiality and support sensitive information handling

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Finance or Business Administration

• One year of related financial experience preferred

• Knowledge of First Nation administrative practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license or ability to obtain
