Position: Senior - Decision Modelling (Montreal)
Location: Ville-MarieThe opportunity
The Decision Modelling team sits at the intersection of corporate finance, strategy, and transactions, supporting clients with critical business and investment decisions.
We work across sectors to develop integrated financial models and decision tools that support:
Business planning and forecastingCapital allocation and investment decisionsTransaction and investment evaluation (buy-side, sell-side, infrastructure and project finance)Strategic planning, scenario analysis and performance trackingAs a Senior, you will play a key role in designing and delivering financial models and insights that directly inform management and investor decisions. Our work is highly commercial in nature and requires strong understanding of financial performance drivers, valuation principles, and business strategy.
What you will do
Build integrated financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planningSupport transaction and valuation analyses, including buy-side, sell-side, and project finance engagementsTranslate operational and financial drivers into actionable insights for client decision-makingPerform scenario, sensitivity, and risk analysis to support strategic and investment decisionsReview financial models to assess logical integrity, assumptions, and commercial implicationsWork directly with clients and internal teams to understand key business issues and provide decision-oriented solutionsContribute to business development efforts and client relationship buildingSkills and attributes for success
Strong foundation in corporate finance, including financial planning, valuation, or transaction advisoryEnthusiasm for Excel, with experience building or reviewing financial models for financial planning and investment analysisWorking knowledge of financial statements and key business performance driversAbility to translate complex financial analysis into clear, decision-ready insightsStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsEffective communication skills, including ability to engage with senior stakeholdersHigh attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality outputsCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple engagementsTo qualify for the role, you must have:
Demonstrated experience developing financial models for business planning, forecasting, or transactionsExperience in corporate finance, FP&A, valuation, or transaction advisory environmentsA professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or CBV (or equivalent progress towards a designation)Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and assess key value driversThe role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.Ideally, you’ll also have:
Experience working on transaction-related projects or capital investment decisionsExposure to infrastructure or project finance modellingExperience communicating financial concepts to non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with data visualization tools (, Power BI)Exposure to coding languages such as VBA, Python or SQL (considered an asset but is not required)What we look for
