The Business Account Manager is responsible for credit granting functions within the business lending area, performing analysis to assess loan viability and risk, and making recommendations accordingly. The Business Account Manager builds relationships that add value and contribute positively to the credit union’s profitability while promoting the products and services of the credit union.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Operate as the primary contact for assigned members, managing the relationship on behalf of the credit union to ensure the member’s needs are met and the relationship remains profitable.
Responsible for the member’s problems and resolutions wherever possible, referring more complex problems to the appropriate person or department.
Keep current with market trends, sharing beneficial information with members and other coworkers.
Work directly with the Loan Processors to ensure smooth administration of documentation from the branch.
Pro-actively work to retain and expand existing member relationships, while pursuing new sources of business.
Identify member needs and sell a full range of credit union products and services, including loans and mortgages, deposit and investment products, accounts, lines of credit and credit cards etc.
Complete credit applications thoroughly ensuring that all relevant information is included and analyzed in supporting recommendations within established limits and procedures.
Communicate to the member all terms and conditions of any credit, deposit or investment product being presented, ensuring that all products sold are consistent with the member’s needs and risk tolerance, referring investment opportunities to others as applicable.
Ensure instructions outlining the conditions of loans, deposits, and investments are clearly laid out (loan type, interest rate, security, searches, liens, etc.) to allow completion of the appropriate documentation by the lending and investment staff.
Control loan delinquency through communication with the member prior and after the loan being granted.
Maintain a systematic collection procedure for early identification of problem accounts.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational and department objectives.
Actively participate in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success.
Maintain thorough knowledge ofand adhere tocredit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention.

Essential Qualifications Grade 12 diplomaor equivalent
Business Administration or other post-secondary education is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
Strong knowledge of Access Credit Union’s products and services
Abilityto follow standardized regulations
Advanced knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
Advanced computer skills
Willingness to be involved in community events while maintaining a professional image
Employee Sub-Type Regular
Starting Salary $77,608.00
