Laundry Attendant

Location: Victoria

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the housekeeping team within  the laundry department . There may be opportunities to cross‑train in other positions also.

Shifts can start as early as 8am and end as late at 8:30pm. Typically shifts are 8.5 hours in length but could be shorter, depending on business volumes.

We are looking for someone who can work around 32 hours per week (or more depending on scheduled vacation time).

Responsibilities

Collect laundry from rooms and linen carts.

Wash, dry, fold and properly store all linen for all departments.

Deliver clean folded linen to Room Attendant closets on all guest room floors.

Ensure all linen is free from stains and damage before storing for reuse.

Safely change chemicals as needed for the washers, following all WHIMS standards and report deficiencies and inconsistencies of product consumption and effectiveness.

Perform routine daily maintenance of laundry equipment. (i.e., lint traps in dryers, dust in vents)

Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

Must be able to work a variety of shifts including, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Must work well in a team environment and respond well to direction.

Proven organization, communication and multi‑tasking skills required.

Ability to work independently and work well under pressure.
