Job Summary
As a part of our Rentals & Repair team, you are responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of all rental and repair operations at Sasquatch Mountain Resort. This includes overseeing the rental shop, managing guest flow, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and leading a team to deliver safe, efficient, and friendly service. You’ll support the training and scheduling of technicians, assist with inventory, and provide hands‑on support when needed.
Cross‑training and working within other departments is required to support business needs. You are a front‑line staff member, problem‑solving and providing excellent customer service to create an inclusive experience, united by adventure and empowered by community.
Job Specifications
Wage: Based on experience
Schedule:
Full‑time, including weekends and holidays
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced – Previous rental/repair shop and leadership experience preferred
Reports To:
Inside Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities
Supervise daily rental and repair operations, including opening/closing procedures
Ensure team delivers efficient, friendly, and accurate guest service
Train, coach, and support rental techs in proper boot fitting, ski/snowboard sizing, and binding adjustments
Monitor workflow to maintain efficient guest throughput and safe equipment setup
Oversee tuning, waxing, and equipment maintenance, ensuring safety standards are met
Maintain up‑to‑date records of waivers, equipment service logs, and repairs
Manage equipment inventory, ensuring all gear is organized and properly stored
Liaise with Maintenance and Outside Operations for group bookings and equipment staging
Monitor rental forms and ensure guest information is accurately recorded
Support Retail, Guest Experience, and Snow School with resort‑wide information as needed
Assist with cashier duties, damage assessments, and customer conflict resolution
Perform weekly equipment checks and inspections as per provincial safety standards
Practice safe work procedures and ensure all staff follow safety guidelines
Maintain a professional and respectable appearance
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Previous experience in rental operations or ski/snowboard equipment repair required
Supervisory or leadership experience in a guest‑facing role preferred
Certified ski or snowboard technician (asset, not required—we will train)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in a fast‑paced environment
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Strong problem‑solving, organization, and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be adaptable, have strong time‑management skills, and be a team player
Family‑oriented resort – must enjoy working with guests of all ages
Cross‑department support and snow removal is required from all positions at SMR
