Front of House Manager – Vacancy in Wiltshire
The Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, located in Calne, Wiltshire, is renowned for its luxury 4‑star accommodation, award‑winning spa and championship golf course. We are looking for a driven hospitality leader to join our team as Front of House Manager.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Deputy General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of Front Office operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest service while achieving targets for quality, cost control, revenue and profitability. You will lead and inspire the Front Office, Night, Guest Relations and Porter teams, coordinating across departments to create a welcoming, efficient and memorable guest journey from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop Front Office, Night, Guest Relations and Porter teams.
Drive a culture of service excellence, ensuring every guest interaction exceeds expectations.
Oversee daily Front Office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Manage departmental financial performance, including budgets, cost control and revenue optimisation.
Maximise profitability through effective room scheduling, inventory management and system utilisation.
Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Reservations and Accounts teams.
Recruit, train, coach and evaluate team members in line with company procedures.
Prepare and analyse reports on guest satisfaction, performance metrics and industry benchmarks.
Maintain strong operational control while continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
About You
You understand that every decision impacts both the guest experience and the business.
Proven experience in a senior Front Office role within a similar luxury hotel environment.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive revenue.
A commitment to integrity, professionalism and accountability.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A collaborative approach that fosters teamwork across departments.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
