Become a vital part of the University of Guelph’s hospitality team as a Hospitality Services Assistant in Ridgetown, Ontario. Help create a welcoming atmosphere while enhancing guest experiences at events and daily operations.

This temporary full-time role spans from August 2026 to April 2027, requiring dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving customers, and assisting with large-scale functions. You will support the overall efficiency of hospitality operations with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food service areas

• Operate point‑of‑sale system and provide customer service

• Assist in setting up and tearing down for events

• Support administrative tasks for residence and conference services

• Adhere to food safety standards and regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10, Grade 12 preferred

• At least 3 months of experience with cooking equipment

• WHMIS, Food Handlers Certificate, Smart Serve, First Aid required

• Strong customer service skills
