Strategic Human Resources Manager Red Deer

Location: Central Foothills (Sundre)

Elevate employee relations as the Human Resources Manager with the City of Red Deer. This strategic role emphasizes workforce planning, advisory services, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a six-member HR team focused on advisory services, labor relations, and compliance. Your leadership will be critical in navigating complex employee issues and fostering a high-performance culture during times of change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee HR advisory services and develop innovative programs

• Guide performance management and conflict resolution efforts

• Manage collective bargaining with union executives

• Monitor HR budgets and allocate resources efficiently

• Promote workplace safety in line with regulations

Requirements:

• Eight years in HR and Labor Relations experience

• Five years in HR leadership roles

• Degree in HR, Labour Relations, or Social Sciences

• Background in public sector organizations

• Proven expertise in change management
