Advocate Labour Relations Advisor Yukon

Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Step into the role of Labour Relations Advisor at Yukon Employees’ Union and make an impact by advocating for union members. This position demands dedication and expertise in labour relations and workplace representation.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive advocacy and support, advising both the members and the leadership of the Yukon Employees’ Union. With a background in Human Resources or a related field, you will utilize your experience in handling workplace concerns and navigating collective agreements to foster a healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer advocacy for union members across the Yukon

• Guide and advise Component and Local Executives

• Interpret and implement Collective Agreements

• Address workplace concerns with members effectively

• Ensure adherence to labour laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant fields

• 3-5 years of experience in labour relations

• Strong knowledge of employment law

• Familiarity with Collective Agreements and union operations

• Commitment to enhancing workplace diversity
