Using this knowledge, the TAS will develop and implement proactive and creative recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates and maintain a strong talent pipeline for both permanent and seasonal positions across Sun Peaks' operations.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the organization's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and support key recruitment processes in partnership with other team members. Responsibilities include creating and managing job postings, screening and shortlisting candidates for permanent roles, coordinating aspects of the hiring process, and preparing and managing employment offers.
Compensation Information: $75,000 per annum
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.
* Please note this role has some flexibility for a hybrid work set up for qualified candidates. This includes the expectation of at least three days per week in the office. The position requires ongoing local presence, and candidates must reside within commuting distance of the office to effectively perform the responsibilities of the role.
Skills you bring with you:
Minimum 3+ years of corporate and/or search firm experience with a successful track record as a talent sourcing/recruitment specialist. Tourism/hospitality environment experience is an assetDiploma or undergraduate degree in a related discipline. CPHR designation is considered an assetStrong-working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Software and proficiency of MS-Office suiteAbility to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy; ability to build credibility and trustStrong communication skills and the ability to forge trust and strong partnerships internally and externally with candidates, colleges, community agencies and other external partners (locally and internationally)Familiarity, and experience of different international talent programs and workstreams including LMIA and LMIA-exempt pathwaysUnderstanding of key recruitment metrics with ability to create insightful reports to inform business and hiring decisionsExperience in building social campaigns to promote employment brand and organizational culturePrimary Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing initiatives to target existing as well as new and alternative talent sources, building social engagement as well as community and institutional partnerships both domestic and international, including college partnerships (career fairs, events etc.) for internships, coops, and seasonal student opportunitiesDevelop employment brand and social media content to attract talent, market Sun Peaks as an employer of choice and promote the destination for relocation hires globallyKey point of contact with our ATS vendor, managing the relationship, understanding new product features and troubleshooting any issues that ariseWork collaboratively with hiring teams and HR Business Partners to draft job descriptions/postings, refreshing job offers, and job offer trackingAct as first point of contact for candidates applying to permanent roles and support the business in shortlisting suitably qualified applicantsDeliver exceptional candidate experience throughout journey to include pre-screening calls, virtual interviews, on-site visits, and reference checksMeasure and regularly report on sourcing and recruitment progress and composition, including source of hire and time-to-fill to assess ROI of key partnershipsResearch and share best practices, trends and developments as they relate to target talent segments, including, but not limited to competitor landscape, market mapping and compensation benchmarking.Proactively source candidates through online…
