The Township of Muskoka Lakes seeks an experienced Director of Development Services and Environmental Sustainability to manage vital departments.

Your role involves leading urban planning, economic development, and sustainability efforts that align with community aspirations. You will collaborate closely with Council and stakeholders to make informed decisions impacting residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct environmental sustainability and community development projects

• Guide Planning and Economic Development teams strategically

• Engage with stakeholders for effective policy recommendations

• Promote high standards in customer service and team performance

• Support the Township’s vision and strategic objectives

Requirements:

• Degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or equivalent

• Five years in a municipal leadership capacity

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

• Proven leadership in public sector environments

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
