Location: Rideau Lakes area (Kemptville)

Lead the charge in animal care with Semex as the Animal Care Manager at our Kemptville site. Oversee barn operations and ensure top-notch animal welfare and productivity every day.

In this critical leadership role, you will manage a dedicated team of 15-20 employees, focusing on animal health and operational excellence. Your expertise will foster an environment of engagement, performance, and collaboration with teams, like Marketing and Talent Management. Ensure compliance with health standards while coordinating essential operations, including quality semen collection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of 15-20 employees

• Oversee animal feeding, bedding, and overall wellness

• Collaborate with the corporate veterinarian on bull health

• Coordinate quality semen collection activities

• Maintain safe and compliant facilities and equipment

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in herd management or livestock operations

• Strong people-management skills and change management experience

• Clear verbal and written communication

• Familiarity with AX, Microsoft O365, and ADP tools

• Valid G-class driver's license
