Lead maintenance and operations at Cape Smokey, the burgeoning year-round resort in Nova Scotia. This full-time manager role will oversee ski hill operations by developing and implementing key policies and programs.
As the Maintenance and Operations Manager, you will ensure the successful maintenance of the ski hill facilities. This position demands expertise in snow making operations, budgeting, and staff supervision, all while fostering a progressive workplace culture. Your leadership will be central to enhancing guest experiences at Cape Smokey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement operational policies for the ski hill
• Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance
• Plan maintenance services year-round for the ski hill
• Oversee snow making and machinery maintenance
• Recruit and train staff effectively
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance management at ski resorts
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma
• Proven experience in contracting
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to manage irregular hours
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management in a dynamic resort environment.
