Fire Chief Overseeing Training, Operations and Emergency Response

Location: Renfrew County and Lanark Highlands Township (Deep River)

Become the Fire Chief responsible for leading operations and enhancing preparedness. Ensure compliance, drive training initiatives, and manage emergency responses in a vital role.

In this position, you'll lead the Fire Department and focus on optimizing operational performance while ensuring that all personnel are properly trained. Your decade of fire service experience, including five years in leadership, will empower you to create effective strategies for emergency situations. You'll also be accountable for compliance with industry codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personnel and equipment readiness

• Inspire and oversee fire department training activities

• Develop strategies for effective emergency management

• Collaborate closely with safety and compliance departments

• Handle administrative duties related to operational budgeting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in fire science or similar

• Minimum of 10 years in fire service, 5 in supervisory roles

• Incident Command training required

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Must secure Canadian security clearance
