Role  Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, this position is responsible for effectively enabling AFSC Executive and Senior Management to achieve the corporation’s strategic business objectives by establishing, maintaining, participating in, and adding clarity and focus to a process that collects, assesses, approves, prioritizes, and disseminates the status of corporate projects and initiatives. Facilitates successful outcomes by making certain selected initiatives effectively coordinated, resourced and lead, and that appropriate project management best practices are employed in relation to people, processes and tools.

Being enterprise-wide, these projects are often large, complex and have multiple stakeholders.
Growth opportunities   Gain enterprise-wide exposure by working closely with Executive and Senior Leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives.
Develop and refine advanced portfolio and project management capabilities across complex, cross-functional programs.
Strengthen your strategic thinking and business acumen by contributing to corporate prioritization, planning, and decision-making.
Lead and influence change at an organizational level, driving innovation and continuous improvement in the PMO.
Build and mentor high-performing teams, enhancing your leadership and people development skills.
Expand your ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive alignment across diverse groups.
Responsibilities   Lead and manage the organization’s project portfolio, ensuring initiatives are aligned with business goals and delivered effectively.
Provide clear leadership and direction, connecting team efforts to organizational strategy while driving performance and development.
Oversee project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment, compliance, and successful outcomes.
Plan and manage budgets, resources, and business priorities to maximize efficiency and support strategic objectives.
Develop strategies, policies, and capabilities that strengthen team effectiveness and support long-term organizational growth and innovation.
Qualifications   Post-secondary education with a related degree
12 years related experience with 5 years in leadership capacity
Certificate in project management, PMP, or equivalent experience
