Evening Shift Transformer Repair Supervisor

Location: Fort Providence

Lead transformer repair operations at Hitachi Energy's Stoney Creek Service Center on the evening shift. Drive efficiency, team coordination, and safety standards in repair production.

As the Transformer Repair Shop Supervisor, you will manage shop floor operations and oversee daily production activities. Collaborate with engineering, planning, purchasing, and project management teams to enhance productivity and ensure quality standards are met. This role also involves guiding trades teams and addressing operational challenges to maintain essential grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise repair work across shop personnel

• Coordinate activities with cross-functional engineering and planning teams

• Optimize resource utilization to meet delivery targets

• Review processes and recommend cost improvements

• Promote safety and quality programs on the shop floor

Requirements:

• Eligible to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical diploma

• Minimum 5 years in transformer repair or manufacturing

• Supervisory experience in a unionized environment

• Strong problem-solving and planning skills
