Purpose
Perkin Elmer is seeking the Vice President, Atomic Spectroscopy (AA, ICP OES and ICP/MS) Product Portfolio, Global. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the global product strategy for our atomic spectroscopy instruments, accessories, and workflows. This position plays a critical role in advancing our market presence, increasing profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive product portfolio strategy that aligns with Perkin Elmer's business objectives and growth targets for chromatography instruments and accessories.
Product Management Excellence:
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end‑of‑life, driving product management excellence by collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align strategies with market demands and customer needs.
Market Analysis:
Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and optimize the existing product offerings.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of product managers and application scientists to drive product development, marketing, and sales initiatives.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including leadership within the Analytical Solutions and Customer Enablement Global Business Line (GBLs) and the Production and Quality Global Support Services (GSS) organizations to help define product roadmaps and drive successful product launches.
Financial Management:
Accountable for the financial performance of the product line, including cost, capacity planning for production, setting global base price, monitoring price performance, and ensuring profitability.
Customer Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and enhance product features.
Product Marketing:
Working closing with the Analytical Solutions and Customer Enablement Global Business Line (GBLs) to develop and execute go‑to‑market plans for new product launches and product updates. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
Product Support:
Manage the resolution of product issues within production, customer, and service escalation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant scientific or engineering field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management and leadership, preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry.
Ability to travel globally, as necessary.
